FALL RESEARCH TRIP to Salt Lake FAMILY HISTORY LIBRARY
October 17-24
$25 trip fee, contact Patsy McLaughlin for more information. 832-439-8045.
We still need folks to join us!!!! They do not need to be members of THAGS.
Precinct 4 Donation:
Each year we utilize Precinct 4 buses to go to Clayton Library as part of their senior program. Each person who rides donates a $1 towards the driver's lunch and supporting the program. Sometimes we sell Precinct 4 raffle tickets to support their program. Just wanted to let you know, that this year we will not be selling their raffle tickets, but we were able to send them a $100 donation from extra bits left over bus fees. Thank you for your generosity.
THAGS MONTHLY MEETINGS 2018/2019
Will be held at Phillip Cezeaux Recreation Building
100 North Houston Avenue, Humble TX 77338
(This is the building right in the heart of Humble, next to the park and swimming pool. It has a large parking lot which is lighted at night). We look forward to seeing you at our monthly meetings come September.
From Our Members:
1) Sandy Cox shared this interesting note and website with us:
http://www.daddezio.com/cemetery/articles/kinder.html
The above website was provided in my June 2018 German Genealogy Group newsletter. American children could only be returned to the United States at the expense of the family. The graves are currently underwritten and funded by the non-commissioned officers clubs. If the bases were closed all graves would be dug up and the remains placed in a common grave in a section of the cemetery.
2) You may want to Save the Date if you planned to hear Frank Billingsley speak at the Houston Genealogical Forum meeting on Saturday, September 8, 2018, 10-Noon. Here is the information. You may want to set up rides to go together while at the BBQ

3) Donna Cary has gotten hacked and has requested for everyone not to open any emails from her that have a link to Dropbox. It will lead to a malicious website where you don't want to go.
4) COMING IN SEPTEMBER--- Our own THAGS/Family History Fanatics Fundraising Webinar. Watch for details soon. Date is Saturday, September 22, 2018. Support THAGS!
5) Don't forget to set up Krogers and Randalls and AmazonSmile with THAGS as your charitable organization. With just 3 households shopping at Krogers this year, THAGS has earned over $25. Help support our organization at no expense to you. Email karenrasmus@yahoo.com if you need more information on how to do this.
