December 10, 2018, THAGS Annual Christmas Party, 6:30 PM, Please review some details below:
This year our annual Christmas Party will be a pot luck dinner held at the Phillip Cezeaux Recreational Center. It will be a great opportunity to come, enjoy lots of good food, and have plenty of time to visit with all of your THAGS friends.
We need your help and support in a couple of ways in order for this party to be a success.
1) WHO IS COMING?
We invite you to bring a spouse or friend who may not normally attend our meetings to join you for this social event. The more the merrier. However, we do need to get a head count on how many to expect. A list will circulate at the November meeting. You can report if you and others will be attending there, or you can send your RSVP and count to humbleareagen@gmail.com
2) WHO IS HELPING?
Thank you to all those who signed up to bring various food items. An additional list will circulate this Monday night on additional ways to help. We could use help with set up, take down, etc. The dinner starts at 6:30 PM. We are hoping we can get into the building at 5 PM. If anyone want to volunteer to cook a turkey or ham, you can let us know that as well. Carolyn Monroe is chairing this event, if you have questions or want to volunteer, feel free to contact her at carolynmonroe36@gmail.com
3) WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Signing up to bring a food dish is recommended.
Also, we are going to have our traditional gift exchange. So, if possible each individual should bring an approximately $15 gift to exchange--something a genealogist would be interested in.
4) WHAT WILL I GET?
Lots of fun with friends. Lots of food.
We also plan to have available paper copies of our membership directory and newsletter for those in attendance.
