Presentation: Color Coding DNA Matches, by Dana Leeds
Dana Leeds received a bachelor’s degree in biology education and started doing traditional genealogy twenty years ago. Five years ago, she took a DNA test and now can combine her passions for genealogy, science, and teaching.
Early in 2018, Dana started working with her first adoptee case as a “Search Angel.” The list of names was unknown to her, their relationships uncertain, and often they lacked trees. Dana needed a way to sort those matches so she could concentrate on finding relatives who matched this adoptee on her biological father’s side. The Leeds Method was born.

Awareness of legal actions and how they impact our research
Let's not forget about these issues going on. The Board will discuss what we can do at our board meeting.
Awareness of Bill, Is anyone aware of this bill?
https://legiscan.com/TX/text/HB703/2019
It would keep Birth Certificates unaccessible for 125 years
Perhaps we should send letters to the committee members (Texas House Public Health Committee)
https://house.texas.gov/committees/committee/?committee=C410
We should also ask Harris County Clerk, Dr. Diane Trautman, to take a stand against this bill.
