Using and Managing a Genealogy Research Log
Presented by: Thomas MacEntee

Learn how to build a family history legacy by using a genealogy research log. By tracking all aspects of your research and maintaining it on your computer instead of an online website or software, you will be able to greatly expand the meaning of your research. We will cover creating a to-do list, documenting each and every record, citing sources, evaluating evidence, as well as tracking name variations, addresses, and more.
Thomas MacEntee is a professional genealogist specializing in the use of technology and social media to improve genealogical research and as a means of interacting with others in the family history community.
A final reminder, the ZOOM link, and the handout will be resent to members on Monday, the date of the presentation.

THAGS will have a table at this event to tell the public more about our society. We will have some free pedigree charts for adults and children. Those helping can bring also bring a laptop to show the public a little about online genealogy. David Taylor will be in the THAGS library to assist people there.
Our plan is to have three shifts, 10-noon/ noon-2PM/ 2 PM-4PM. Dathryn Bush and Susan Grumboski will take the first shift and get the table set up. If you can help on the other shifts, please let us know, or sign up using the sign-up genie that will be sent out.
